This agreement must be signed before receiving final confirmation of class registration.
Scope of Services:
Classes will be taught by the training staff of Lizzi and Rocco’s. Availability of training slots are determined & filled by training staff. Group classes are only allowed a set number of students in an attempt to give as much attention to students as possible. If at any time the training staff feels that the class is not suitable for the dog/owner or the dog/owner will not be able to handle the class, they will be refused entry.
All training services are provided in the training room location at the Lizzi & Rocco's Green Meadows location, unless otherwise specified. No owner and/or dog is allowed admittance into the training rom unless a member of the training staff is present and has given permission to enter.
Vaccination records will need to be provided before or at the start of the class session. The dog’s rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordatella vaccines will need to be up-to-date (as age appropriate, see below) at the time of class commencement. You can either email these to firstname.lastname@example.org, bring in a copy to one of our locations or come in a little early the first day of class with them. If per vet recommendation, your dog does not have one of the shots listed above, please let us know.
Puppies: First 2 rounds of distemper (parvo). Rabies and Bordatella if appropriate for age.
Full payment is required to confirm class registration. We request that this is paid within 48 hours from the time of registration. Payments at later dates and payment plans are available via the trainer’s discretion but must be set up within 48 hour of registration. If payment has not been received in this time, owner will receive an invoice for online payment with a specified due date. If a person has not made payment in full or has not contacted trainer to set up other arrangements, then we reserve the right to open up the spot that has been held for you.
Lizzi & Rocco’s must be given notice at least one (1) week before the first scheduled day of class in order to receive a refund. If notice is given less than one (1) week before or once the scheduled class has started no refunds will be given.
If a class is missed, make-up lessons are not guaranteed. Trainer must be notified at least 24 hours before the time of class or no make-up option will be offered. If trainer is given proper notification and another class has an opening, the training staff may approve for the student to attend it in order to make up the missed class. A private lesson can be scheduled at regular price if wanting to make up any classes in a one-on-one setting. These will be scheduled per trainer availability with the same scheduling policies set in place for private lessons. Due to this, a one-on-one lesson may not be available before class session ends. Any other make up options will only be available at the training staff’s discretion and availability.
It is critical that you try to make every class. Each week the class will work on building onto the lessons from the previous weeks. Missing class can set you behind significantly. The trainer will not be able to put time aside during a class to help one person catch up. If any dog misses 2 consecutive classes, they will not be able to finish out the session, unless otherwise approved by the trainer. Fees will not be non-refundable in accordance with our cancellation policy. Re-registering for the next scheduled session will be made available.
Scheduling a private lesson with the training staff, at an additional cost ($30), before re-attending your class could give you and your dog the opportunity to catch up and is the only option for continuing a class where 2 consecutive classes were missed. This option will be made available at the training staff’s discretion and availability.
Training staff attempts to start class as close to the designated start time as possible. It is important to have everyone in the training room as class is starting, to avoid unnecessary distractions as we start working on the training skills for the class. If a a dog and/or owner is going to be late, they must contact the store and/or training staff. If notification for late arrival is being given less than 6 hours before class start time, owner must contact the store directly to notify staff (573-875-2288). In order to avoid interruption after we begin, we will have to ask owner and dog who arrives more than 5 minutes after the start of class to not participate that day. This will count as a missed class.
Lizzi & Rocco’s and/or the trainer reserve the right to remove a dog and/or owner from training at any time if there is potential risk to the said dog’s and/or owner’s safety or health, other dog’s and/or owner’s safety or health, the trainer and/or assistant’s safety or health, or the employees and/or customers of Lizzi & Rocco’s safety or health. Should Lizzi & Rocco’s and/or the trainer decide that the removal is necessary, all payments are non-refundable in accordance with our cancellation policy. Efforts will be made to discuss a more suitable arrangement for training for such dogs/owners.
At trainer's discretion, any remaining classes may be done as one on one sessions. These are then scheduled as a 20 minute one-on-one session with the number of sessions being equivalent to the number of classes the student would have remaining.
For the health and safety of staff and students, all owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals in a reasonable time frame. Cleaning supplies and waste receptacles will be provided by staff.
Dog owners are to follow the training methods of the trainer which is explained in more detail here[link]. This means that all training should be done using the most positive methods as possible and force free. No aversives will be permitted when in training. Forbidden training tools/equipment includes prong collars, choke collars, shock collars, or any other training tool deemed aversive and inappropriate by the trainer. If the owner continues to use any of these training tools after the trainer addresses it with them, the trainer reserves the right to remove the dog and owner from class. Should Lizzi & Rocco’s and/or the trainer decide that the removal is necessary, all payments are non-refundable in accordance with our cancellation policy.
