Mastering Manners & Skills
Your dogs now have better focus and self-control when other dogs are present, it is time to take these skills to the next level by adding distance, duration, and more distractions (for puppies and adults). This class will be broken into two 35-40 minute sessions rather than 50 minutes like the beginning and advanced class. The first will start at 7pm and the second at 7:40pm. If interested, sign up for your preferred time below.
It's Time to take the basics to an even higher level. Working on skills outside of the training room and helping your dog listen and perfect those manners for any situation (for puppies and adults approved by Jennen).
This class will combine with our MEIA program and may include dogs that have been through the reactive program and have graduated to group sessions.
You can sign up for the Manners & Skills Out and About course on a class by class basis. Schedule varies due to the program being in the real world. Click here for further schedule details.

Brain Games for Mental Enrichment!
We can’t always be entertaining our dogs and in Missouri the weather is so unpredictable, we can’t always rely on going on a nice long walk to wear our dogs out. There are other ways to keep them entertained though. Give them brain games and different mental enrichment activities to keep them busy! Not only can this wear them out, it really helps reduce unwanted behaviors from our dogs. Come in and learn some great ways to add more mental enrichment into your dog’s routine. We will have some of the common puzzles and treat toys that are available and learn how to begin your dog on them. We will also discuss fun things such as trick training and a brief introduction into different advanced options such as sports.
Recall is one of the most important skills for a dog to know. Not only does it make our lives easier when we need them but it can also prevent our dogs from getting in to dangerous situations. If you are having trouble getting your dog to come back in different environments and around distractions, come in to learn how to teach your dog to have a more reliable recall.
Walks should be enjoyable for both the dog and owner. However, it can get hard if we feel our dog is in their own world when out and about. Come work on leash skills to improve the quality of your walks (as well as the bond with your dog). Whether you are just getting started with leash walking or need some work to brush up your skills, come and practice your skills while also learning ways to improve your regular walks. We will go over equipment, how to start loose leash walking as well as having the dog walk next to you when needed.. We will also discuss the different types of walks that you can do with your dog. For those dogs that have the basics down, we will also work on adding additional skills to make walks even more enjoyable for everyone.
This course helps get your dog prepared to pass the Canine Good Citizen test, showing how great of a citizen they can be in all situations . For more information on the test click here!
